Membership - Chapter and National

MEMBERSHIP is open to anyone interested in the aims of the society. Current members include hobbyists, professional genealogists and other researchers who may be experts in particular fields, geographical areas, or time periods. These members may advise you on correspondence with European sources, or assist you by sharing their knowledge of books, periodicals, detailed maps, archives, libraries, and other resources. Some of the professional genealogists may give particular attention to the needs of other members.

The membership year runs from October 1 through September 30. Persons joining before July 1 receive all the current membership year's publications and will be asked to renew their membership in the fall. Persons joining after July 1 will become members of the following membership year. Join online or you may renew online. The bookstore checkout is on a secure system. Payments are taken via PayPal accounts and Credit Cards taken through the PayPal system on the National site. Make sure to choose Ohio as your chapter in the drop-down menu near the bottom left, after you have chosen which category of membership is right for you.
